Company Registration

Documents Every Registered Company Should Keep

Keep the records that banks, regulators and supplier processes may request.

Professional office used for company administration

Company registration creates the legal entity. The company must still keep accurate records and complete the registrations that apply to how it trades.

Keep a core company file

  • CIPC registration documents
  • Current director and registered-address details
  • Share certificate and securities records
  • Beneficial Ownership filing records
  • Tax and banking correspondence

Add registrations that apply

CSD, B-BBEE, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA and CIDB are not required in every case. The correct registrations depend on the company’s activities, staff and supplier requirements.

Update the file when details change

Ownership, directors, addresses and tax representatives should be corrected when they change. Keep final documents separately from application receipts.

Important

Requirements and processing times depend on complete documents, system availability and the relevant authority. This general information is not an official verification of your company’s status.
